We are looking for an outstanding KS1 & an outstanding KS2 teacher to become lead practitioners and join our senior leadership team. Both posts do not carry class responsibility. The roles are designed to support senior leaders in ensuring that teaching and learning is the best it can possibly be at all times. The roles will involve supporting the teaching team across the Academy to continually ensure our children access quality first teaching practices and meta cognitive teaching and learning strategies - and to implement programmes that support our pupils in making accelerated progress.


These are exciting opportunities which do not arise often and are suitable for those outstanding teachers who wish to support colleagues and the senior leadership team move teaching, across the academy, to a consistent outstanding level. It therefore stands to reason that only outstanding practitioners need apply. It is also essential that successful candidates must have very recent, relevant and impacting experience in Year 6 or Year 2 and have a proven track record on leading on significant and impacting school improvement.


This role would ideally suit those looking for their first leadership role without being too far removed from the class and pupils. It is a developmental role and as such successful candidates need to be able to bring out the best in colleagues, work with all types of people, earn respect and trust of colleagues quickly through interactions and because of the high quality teaching practice they would be able to demonstrate.


Successful candidates must be able to:

  • model, team teach and coach colleagues in order to ensure outcomes improve quickly
  • implement CPD programmes for all teaching staff on a regular basis
  • manage time well and be highly organized and efficient
  • monitor and quality assure
  • get on extremely well with all members of staff but understand the demands and needs of the role too.
