The Year 5 Teachers

Important Information

Daily Items

Home-school books, ZPD Reading books, Library books and reading records should be brought into school every day. It is also encouraged that your child brings their own bottle of water each day as well as a waterproof coat due to the changing weather.

PE

All children will have PE on a Thursday morning.

5CB's and 5RT's additional PE session is Monday.

5CW's additional PE session is Wednesday afternoon.

Homework

Each week, children will have spellings, times tables/division facts. These will be testing weekly!

Fortnightly children will have KIRFS (key instant recall maths facts) which they must learn by heart.

Children will have a personalised, timestable challenge to work on each week. All children are expected to access TT Rockstars at least once a week - having a greater knowledge of times tables allows your child to grasp a greater understanding of matter aspects of Maths!

Home School Books

These are a yellow book that the children bring home every night. Please ensure children return these to school daily. Please add any notes or changes to the collection of a child in these books to allow your teacher to update these!

You will find a copy of weekly homework and log-on details for TT Rockstars inside this book as well as key information about the school policies.
