During this half term we spoke about many different celebrations and special days that occurred during this time. These included, Bonfire Night, Diwali, Children in Need, Odd Sock Day for Anti-bullying week and Remembrance Day.

We all together spoke about what Bonfire Night looks like to us, creating our own firework pictures whilst watching a firework display on the Ipad for our art, as well as talking about how to keep safe around fire, if we went to any events in the local community. To enhance this learning we invited the local Fiire brigade to talk to the children about how to keep safe, and what to do if they come into danger. We also spoke about Diwali, and what traditions are typically carried out, and why. We even made our own Diya Lamps. 

On Remembrance Day we spoke about why we have this day in place, and showed the children the lovely animation on Cbeebies. We then went on to make our own poppies and laid them in our garden.
