Today we worked together to bake bread just like the Little Red Hen in our story that we are writing about in literacy. We observed how the dry ingredients transformed when we added water and how the heat changed the soft dough into hard crusty bread. We developed our physical development through kneading, rolling and stretching the dough, strengthening our hand strength and coordination. We carefully measured the water to add to the dry ingredients. We crafted our own bread buns which were baked in the oven. We enjoyed eating our bread for snack and it was delicious!
