    SCP 3 £24,796 FTE (actual salary £18,379 per annum)

    Hours:

    32.50 hours per week term time + 1 training day

    Contract:

            Fixed Term Contract to 31/08/2027

    We are looking to appoint two outstanding, committed and motivated SEND Support Teaching Assistants to join our academy.

    At Old Clee Primary Academy we focus on preparing children for life. We do this by delivering an imaginative, creative and inspiring curriculum which motivates children to want to learn, while developing their transferable skills.     The role would ideally suit someone ready for an exciting journey and challenge, with experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children.

    Main purpose

    The SEN teaching assistant (TA) will under the guidance and direction of teaching/senior staff: (this does not always mean in the same location as the teacher and can mean working alone in a separate work space/part of the school)

    • Provide learning and care support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
    • Work with the teacher to plan and deliver activities
    • Support pupils with routines, transitions and behaviour management
    • Be responsible for effective phonic delivery and assessment of large/small groups where applicable.
    • Be responsible for effective intervention delivery and assessment of large/small groups where applicable, adapting plans according to children’s need in order to make an impact

    Hours:

    17.5 hours per week term time +10 days (Monday-Friday 06:45-10:15)

    We are looking to appoint an energetic, practical and motivated Caretaker to join the team to help ensure our academy provides a safe, welcoming and purposeful environment for children, staff and visitors.

    We are looking for someone who will really care for our academy, ensuring it looks at its best, is safe and exemplifies the high expectations we have of our children. The role may require the use of various IT systems; therefore, some IT skills are desirable, but full training will be given.

    The role will include a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with the grounds and premises maintenance, security and health and safety of our site and includes some supervision of school cleaning staff.  

    Main purpose

    The caretaker is responsible for:

    • Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds
    • Carrying out cleaning, handyperson activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment, porterage, and minor repairs
    • Some supervision of school cleaning staff
    • Promoting health and safety around the school
