    Statutory Test dates for 2025-2026

    KS2 SATs 2026

    Here are the dates for when the National KS2 SATs will take place in May 2026.
    Monday 11th May to Thursday 14th May 2026.

    Paper 1: short answer questions (45 minutes)

    Paper 1: arithmetic (30 minutes)

    Paper 2: reasoning (40 minutes)

    Paper 3: reasoning (40 minutes)

    		 Thursday 15th May

    Reception Baseline Assessment

    Schools must complete the reception baseline assessment for each child in the first 6 weeks after the start in reception.

    Early Years Foundation Stage Profile Assessment

    School must complete the early years foundation stage profile assessment between April and June in reception year.

    Phonics Screening Check for Year 1 children

    Year 1 children will complete their phonics screening check in the week beginning Monday 8th June 2026.

    Phonics Screening Check for Year 2 children

    The children who did not pass their phonics screening check at the end of Year 1 will complete it in the week beginning Monday 8th June 2026.

    Multiplication check for Year 4 children

    Year 4 children will complete the multiplication check within the 2 week periods starting Monday 1st June 2026.
