School Uniform

Old Clee Primary Academy have always been mindful of the cost of uniforms to our parents/carers. Our uniform policy has been developed with cost in mind, allowing for plain uniform to be worn and taking away the need to have school branded logos on any of our school uniform, therefore keeping costs to parents at a minimum.

The Government has recently issued new guidance on school uniform which schools and their governing boards must have regard to when developing and implementing their school uniform policies. The purpose of this guidance is to ensure the cost of school uniforms is reasonable and secures the best value for money.

Our uniform is available to purchase from various suppliers and our policy also allows parents to purchase plain school uniform from shops such as supermarkets which will hopefully make uniform more accessible.

In order to support parents, the new guidance states that schools must ensure second hand uniform is available. Therefore, at the end of each school term, we will host a ‘Swap Shop’ which will allow parents to:

  • Donate unwanted uniform that is in good condition.
  • Take any second hand uniform without the need for swapping or donating.
  • Swap old sized uniform for correct fitted second hand uniform.

Our "Swap Shops" take place regularly throughout the year. Please see the website or Academy's Facebook account for details.
