Royal Wedding Nursery Learning Celebrations
We have been doing lots of learning outdoors in nursery this half term.
We have started our topic around Growing in Nursery. All the children have planted seeds inside in a pot and in our outdoor growing area. We will all take responsibility for looking after them by watering them daily. The children cannot wait for them to grow.
We have been learning through ICT in Nursery!
Wear Red (NSPCC) and Numbers Day
The Children in Nursery all looked great in red while having a fun, exciting and interesting learning day linked to numbers!

Christmas Concert
The children put on a wonderful performance for their grown-ups in both the morning and afternoon Christmas concert. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and looked fantastic in their Christmas jumpers! We hope our audience enjoyed watching and that parents, carers and relatives were just as proud of the boys and girls as we were.

Practice Makes Perfect!
The excitement is building as the boys and girls in Nursery prepare to perform their Christmas concert to their parents, carers and relatives. They are working very hard on learning the words and singing in their best loud, clear voices. They are very excited as performance day approaches and we are sure their hard work will pay off.

Outdoor Fun
The cold weather isn’t stopping the children in Nursery from enjoying our wonderful outdoor area. Here are some of them wrapped up warm and having a great time!
A Surprise Visit!
The children in Nursery were very excited when they spotted a police officer walking past the outdoor area in the grounds of our school today. The friendly policeman was only too happy to stop and introduce himself and chat to the children. He even brought over a selection of police hats for the boys and girls to try on. As you can see, they thoroughly enjoyed their unexpected meeting with 'Policeman Tim' and made a great bunch of mini police officers!
Children in Need, 2017
For this year's Children in Need day, the boys and girls in Nursery joined in the school's fund-raising efforts by wearing their spots to school! They enjoyed a selection of Children in Need activities, including colouring in Pudsey bear. Here are some of our children hard at work and proudly showing off the finished results!
Halloween
We have enjoyed some Halloween fun in Nursery this week. The children have been sharing their experiences of dressing up and trick or treating with each other and have had fun exploring pumpkins and jack-o'-lanterns in the Nursery's indoor and outdoor areas.
New Topic: Percy the Park Keeper
Percy the Park Keeper is our new topic for this half-term in Nursery. We will enjoy reading stories by the popular author, Nick Butterworth, which are all about Percy and his animal friends - Badger, Owl, Fox, Mole and Robin to name but a few - and the children will enjoy a range of learning activities which will focus on this theme.
Our learning areas have been transformed to reflect our new topic, and the boys and girls have already started to enjoy exploring and using their new surroundings. Here are some of the children making lunch in Percy's hut!
Please visit the Curriculum Section under 'Key Information' to find out more about our learning this year and how you can help at home.
All the children have settled really well into our new nursery. They have had great fun learning about dinosaurs.
Here are a few photographs of our children exploring our fantastic outdoor area.
Learning in our fantastic outdoor area.
Autumn
This week we went on a walk around our school grounds to look for signs of Autumn. All the children had fun walking through the crunchy leaves and watching the leaves flutter from the trees. We observed all the different Autumn colours. We stood still and listened to the birds. We didn't see any squirrels but we did find a nut that one had dropped!
