Things you need to know -
Our P.E day is a Wednesday so please ensure your P.E kit is at school on this day.
A water bottle should be brought to school every morning, this needs to be taken home each day.
Our yellow home/school books should be brought to school every day.
Reading books and green diaries should be brought to school every day. We will change reading books every Tuesday and Friday.
Homework will go out every Friday and should be brought back to school on Thursday.
Today we wore our own clothes or Pudsey outfits as part of Children In Need. We took part in Joe Wick’s big move this morning followed by lots of other Children In Need activities.
As part of our new topic Room on the Broom the children came dressed up today. We had lots of different Room on the Broom activities in the classroom, joined the nursery children in the hall for some spooky dancing and finally acted out the story in our classroom.
We have been enjoying our 'Ocean Yoga' sessions in Reception. We have learnt a variety of breathing techniques to help us calm down, relax and slow down our bodies and minds, and we have been practising a selection of ocean themed yoga poses. Here we are learning and using the 'Pause Breath' and 'Shoulder Breath' techniques and holding the jellyfish, shark, dolphin, crab and turtle poses. Can you tell which is which?
As part of our Rainbow Fish topic we held a rainbow day to celebrate our learning. We wore colourful clothes, joined the nursery for some rainbow dances, completed rainbow inspired craft and sang a rainbow fish song.
The children have continued enjoying their learning of the Rainbow Fish this week. The children have started learning their sounds in their RWI lessons and are excited to start writing simple words next week.
Roald Dahl Day
We came to school dressed as characters from our favourite books and took part in activities such as making book marks, counting Roald Dahl characters and pretending to be characters like 'The Enormous Crocodile' and the 'BFG'.
The children are settling into their first year of school. We are busy making new friends and exploring our classrooms. We are focusing our learning on the Rainbow Fish and look forward to learning the story and different facts about fish.
