Science
In science, we have been investigating forces - gravity and air resistance.
In design technology, we have used a running stitch to attach our embellishments.

Our rain gauge is now collecting data... and rain.
As part of our geography field work, we have made these rain gauges. We will be measuring how much rain falls each month and comparing it to regional, national and international averages. So, when you’re warm and snug at home, spare a thought for our rain gauge, working tirelessly to collect our data in all weathers.
In literacy, we have been studying the book, The Ice Bear. Today, we have used to drama to freeze frame scenes from this myth.

In art this term, we have been focusing on Pop Art and Andy Warhol’s use of tertiary colours. Today, the children used the three primary colours (red, blue and yellow) to mix their own tertiary colours. They added sand to some mixtures to create texture.

6.10.23 In science this week, we have compared materials based on conductivity of electricity, heat and magnetism.

30.9.23 In Science this week, we have conducted an investigation to compare and group together everyday materials on the basis of their properties, including their hardness, solubility and transparency.
