Welcome to the Year 5 page. Please take the time to have a look at what we have been doing so far in Year 5 and also what we will be doing as the year progresses.
Our Teaching Team consists of Miss Begum, Miss Stevens, Miss Birchall and Mrs Jenkins.

Year 5 PE day is on a Thursday.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and is due back in on the following Thursday.

On Thursday 5th July Year 5 visited Cleethorpes Bowling Centre for a strikingly wonderful morning.
On Friday June 29th Year 5 went for a taster day to Havelock Academy. After a tour of the school, the children were able to try different lessons, including PE, Science, Swimming, Food Technology and Dance. The college made us feel very welcome and the response from the children was very positive.

A huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents who attended our celebration of learning for our current topic - The Great, the Bold and the Brave. It was a superb afternoon. The children loved getting creative; making their Ancient Greek helmets and trying to decode your secret messages written in Greek.

Year 5 had a wonderful time making poppies for Remembrance Day
5SC class election day. Our candidates gave a speech informing us of what ideas they have to improve our school.
Year five had the chance to visit the local mosque this week. We had a tour of the mosque, which was great and we learnt how to write our names in Arabic. We had a great time!
