Year 1 had a lovely time and enjoyed trying the different fruit at their picnic!

We are so lucky that the musicians from Come Dance With Me came to visit us. We enjoyed listening to their beautiful music and joining in with some dances.

Roll up, Roll up! Year 1 have become circus performers. We had a wonderful morning with Circus Avago. They taught us how to juggle, spin plates, ride unicycles and walk a tightrope.

1KH are so excited to start their new topic 'Knights and Castles'. We've started off the term by learning our new story 'The Knight Who Wouldn't Fight'.

1KH have been learning all about 'Tiddler' this week. It's a story about a little fish who is always late for school! 1KH have been learning actions so that they can retell the story.

1KH enjoyed putting their senses to the test. They used their noses to smell different scents and write about them. They also used their hands to touch hidden objects and describe how they felt.

1KH enjoyed being super scientists this afternoon. We investigated how sound works and made paper cup telephones to see if sound can travel down a piece of string.

In year one we set fire to the houses we made. It demonstrated what happens to some materials if they are set on fire. We decided it wasn't a good idea to build a house out of paper and cardboard!
