Here is a welcome video to show you the nursery environment and your teachers! We can't wait to meet you :)
Take a look at the photos from last year to see the fun learning opportunities we provide.

Our teaching team consists of Miss Smith, Mrs Franklin, Mrs Glentworth and Mrs Jelley.

Our P.E day is a Friday, please can children come dressed in P.E clothes and bring plimsolls with them. Can children also remember to bring a water bottle each day for snack times. Please take time to have a look at what we have all been doing so far!

End of Summer Term Jungle Performance!

The children in nursery have been learning all about the animals that live in the jungle. They wanted to share their jungle performance with you.

On Friday 20th March, the last day of school for many pupils due to national closures, we helped support our local community by making a food donation to come to school dressed in our lovely, colourful clothes! smiley

Some more photos of us enjoying our topic People who help us...

On Friday 13th March we raised money for Sports relief!

For national Science week we enjoyed taking part in two different experiments!

Following our topic of People who help us we have been looking at the Fire service and Lifeguards. This is what we have been up too...

We had so much fun dressing up for World Book Day and bringing in our favourite books!

This term we are learning all about people who help us. We have enjoyed pretending to be dentists in the role play area and using the plasters and bandages being doctors!

Parents phonics meeting

On 10th February we had a parents information session for our phonics programme 'Read Write Inc' and to discuss our handwriting style.  The parents that attended took part in a typical Nursery RWI lesson led by Miss Smith and we also discussed how we teach handwriting at Old Clee.

NSPCC Number Day and Wear Red for CHSF

On Friday 7th February, we had lots of fun taking part in a fund-raising day on behalf of two charities. A small donation was made to come to school wearing red in recognition of CHSF (Children's Heart Surgery Fund), and we then enjoyed participating in a range of number activities as part of the NSPCC Number Day. '5, 6, 7, 8' was the soundtrack to an energetic warm-up to our number-themed PE session in which we participated in a series of games.

This term the first story we have been reading is Room on the Broom! We have been investigating pumpkins, making witches in the craft area and creating different spells in the potion lab.

This term we have read the story Rainbow Fish. We have explored things we might find under the sea, been very busy making fish in the craft area and worked hard to make fish using different shapes in our Maths groups. The children have also made some wonderful Rainbow Fish at home!

We all had a fantastic "Rainbow Day" celebrating colour. We danced to colour songs in P.E, painted rainbows and played with the coloured sand outside. We were so impressed with the children's fantastic outfits and had so much fun!

We have all had a great first week following the rules, exploring the Nursery and making new friends.
